Sunset Market Info Booth and Street Marshal Position: Sunset Market employees work at all aspects of event production. This position will assist vendors entering the market venue safely and help our visitors engage with our stakeholder’s information and events.

Work is accomplished outdoors in the Sunset Market venue.
Hours will be Market driven but can be expected to be:
8.0 hours every Thursday. Normal hours will be 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (with a half hour for dinner). There may be overtime depending on the needs of the Market Manager.
HOURLY PAY FOR THIS POSITION: $16.00 an hour.

Job Duties:
Sunset Market Information Booth
- Set-up the information booth.
- Staff the booth and provide information on MainStreet Oceanside, the City of Oceanside, and Local Businesses and Events.
- Break down the booth.
- Vendor Load-in- As vendors arrive and enter the venue, verify their name, grant access, and confirm booth assignment with vendor from the Sunset Market map.
- Assist as Sunset Market Crew as needed.

Work is normally accomplished 1 day a week (Thursday) between the hours of Noon and 11:30 pm. Shifts times may vary.
Job Duties:
List all Travel: From the Main Street Office to the Sunset Market venue and return. The distance between the 2 points is approximately 3 tenths of a mile. Travel is normally in a company vehicle or on foot.
Licenses, certificates, permits or degrees: California Driver’s License. This is not a requirement of the job but preferred.
Employee will need to lift between 30 and 70 pounds on a regular basis.
Employees will work around and with electricity. Outdoor power cords and outdoor flood-type lights.
Employees will dump trash from outdoor cardboard containers and recycle bins (up to 45 gallon).

- Unload equipment.
- Set up stage, stairs, canopy, and lights for main entertainment venue.
- Set up folding tables and chairs for venue patrons.
- Set up backbone outdoor electrical grid (cables, cable ramps).
- Set up information booth canopies, tables, and chairs.
- Set up trash and recycle bins.
- Maintain venue cleanliness – sweep and dump trash, wipe tables and chairs, monitor & clean outdoor toilets and sink area.
- Tear down and load for transport folding tables and chair.
- Tear down and dump trash and recycles. Load empty containers for transport.
- Tear down the stage lights, canopy, stage, and load for transport.
- Tear down electrical grid and load for transport.
- Tear down road barricades and load for transport.
- Return to the main office with all the equipment.

Main Street Oceanside is hiring Courtesy Crew members as part of the Clean and Safe Program under the Downtown Oceanside Property and Business Improvement District (DTOPBID) program.
Courtesy Crew members will clean and maintain the public and common areas of the Downtown District.
Duties Include:
HOURLY PAY FOR THIS POSITION: $16.50 an hour to start with a raise up to $17.00 an hour after 90 days. This is a part-time position with approximately 20-30 hours per week.

Main Street Oceanside is hiring Courtesy Crew members as part of the Clean and Safe Program under the Downtown Oceanside Property and Business Improvement District (DTOPBID) program.
Courtesy Crew members will clean and maintain the public and common areas of the Downtown District.
Duties Include:
- Removing all trash and litter and sweeping sidewalks and pathways to ensure a clean and safe downtown.
- Report physical safety hazards, graffiti, and vandalism to the proper authorities.
- Maintain superior customer service relationships with residents and downtown businesses.
- Clean trash can tops. Remove stickers. Notify Public Works of damage.
- Remove public flyers and stickers from streetlights, traffic signal poles, utility boxes, bike racks, and trees.
- Remove public flyers from windows of vacant buildings.
- Pick up litter and cigarette butts from tree boxes and landscaping.
- Photograph graffiti and file online reports to OPD.
- Monitor alleyways for litter and weeds.
- Mop out entryways into vacant storefronts and pick up litter.
- Trim shrubbery, using hand or power trimmers, and clear debris from ground. card, etc.
- Maintain records on accomplishments (i.e., cigarette butt count, trash amount)
- Complete daily reports and include photographs.
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Work is accomplished outdoors.
HOURLY PAY FOR THIS POSITION: $16.50 an hour to start with a raise up to $17.00 an hour after 90 days. This is a part-time position with approximately 20-30 hours per week.
